Information filed by the Troy Police Department:
OPEN CONTAINER: Edwin Marraquin, 22, of Troy, and Silvia Castanda, 34, of Cincinnati, were both charged with open container in a motor vehicle. Officers noticed a car running and parked on the wrong side of the street in the area of Henley and South Dorset.
OVI: Jeffery Sturtz, 52, of Troy, was charged with OVI and driving under suspension in the 700 block of West Market Street.
FLEEING AND ELUDING: Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Grant Street. The reporting party stated a male was attempting to enter her apartment. Shortly after, the male made entry and physically assaulted another male inside the residence. Upon arrival, officers observed the male driving away from the area recklessly. A traffic stop was conducted and a pursuit ensued. The suspect eventually crashed the vehicle in the 1000 block of South Market Street. Caleb Maxon, 22, of Troy, was taken into custody and then transported to the Kettering Hospital in Troy. The suspect was charged and incarcerated for third-degree felony fleeing and eluding and OVI.
FAKE CASH: A male subject attempted to pass two counterfeit $100 bills at Dollar General. The clerk refused to accept the bills and the male left the store.
THEFT: Emanuel Waller, of Troy, was charged with theft in the area of 1300 block of Archer Drive.
THEFT: Chelsea Evans, 28, of Troy, was charged with theft and criminal trespass in the 300 block of West Market Street.
THEFT: Officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Shell, 1789 West Main Street, on the report of a suspicious male running from Walmart, carrying items. An officer made contact with the loss prevention staff at Walmart who said that they had just had a shoplifter run from the store. Officers located a male who possibly was involved in the theft. The male was arrested for unrelated warrants and transported to jail.
POSSESSION: Byron Jarrett, 32, of Piqua, was charged with possession of a drug abuse instrument and possession of a controlled substance.
