PIQUA — Piqua police are investigating an alleged theft recently reported by American Legion Post No. 184.
On Oct. 11, a report was made to the Piqua Police Department regarding the theft of “several hundred thousand dollars” from the legion, located at 301 W. Water St.
“(The) business stated one of their employees admitted to it and was fired,” the report states.
According to Deputy Chief Jason Preston of the Piqua Police Department, the investigation is still pending. Preston said no further information can be given at this time.
A representative of American Legion Post No. 184 was unable to be reached as of press time.
