Thanks to those who made parade success

To the Editor:

The Independence Day Celebration Association and the Miami Valley Veterans Museum would like to extend our thanks to all those who participated in the parade on July 4th and helped us to make this the biggest and best parade ever.

We thank all of you who lined the streets and supported our efforts. A special thank you is extended to the American Legion post 43 for providing us with a color guard, Betty Tasker who entertained the crowd with her beautiful voice, the 2nd Cavalry Brigade band and the Troy Christian band who supplied us with music, the two equestrian units for their beautiful horses, and Erwin Chrysler, Corvette Troy and various individuals for the use of their awesome vehicles to haul our honored veterans.

Thank you all health care workers and veterans for allowing us to honor you for your service. We extend our appreciation to the people who recorded this parade for those who couldn’t join us due to the pandemic. We hope you all enjoyed the parade and will continue to support us with your monetary donations, participation and presence along the parade route. See you next year!
