TMCS seeks school supplies

TIPP CITY — Tipp Monroe Community Services is now collecting school supplies for children in Tipp City and Monroe Township. Book bags and school supplies will be distributed the last two weeks of the Lunch On Us Program. Last year TMCS gave away 139 book bags and over 200 children received supplies.

Lunches are available for pick up only from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday at the United Methodist Church in Tipp City. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, deliveries are made at seven drop off locations: Meadow Drive, Comanche, Tweed Woods Park, Elas Court, Miles and Tippecanoe, Bellview Court and Hathaway Park.

The following items are needed: pencil bags, pencil boxes, color pencils, red pens, black pens, markers, washable markers, dry erase markers, highlighters, crayons, large pink erasers, pencil sharpeners, Elmer’s glue, glue sticks, 5 inch scissors (blunt and sharp), 7-inch scissors, loose leaf paper (wide ruled and college ruled), protractors, flash drives, scientific calculators, index cards, and notebook dividers, white out tape, disinfectant wipes, post it notes, tissues, permanent markers and folders (with and without tabs inside).

Your donations can be dropped off at several locations, including: TMCS, 3 E. Main St.; Tipp City Public Library, 11 E. Main St.; Browse Awhile Books, 118 E. Main St.; Broadway Hair Studio & Company, 26 S. 2nd St.; Fox and Feather Trading Company, 125 E. Main St.; Grounds For Pleasure Coffee, 115 E. Main St.; Zach Jacobs State Farm, 124 W. Main St.; and a new location at Topsy Turvy Toys, 31 E. Main St.
