PIQUA — Ondalee M. Beasley, 89, of Piqua, passed away unexpectedly at 5:48 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2020 in her residence. She was born August 30, 1930 in Pleasant Hill to the late Omer and Alice (Thompson) Landis. She married Donald Beasley September 24, 1950 in Piqua and he survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Linda (William) Apple of Covington; two sons, Terry (Cheryl) Beasley of Villa Rica, Georgia, Joseph (Pam) Beasley of Midlothian, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Michael, Erin, Natalie, Matthew, Laurie, Joe, Sam; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and one sister, Janice (Don) Deeter of Troy. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Yeretzian; one brother, Roger “Bud” Landis; and three sisters, Virginia, Libby and Darlene.
Mrs. Beasley was a longtime and devout member of the Piqua Church of the Nazarene. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Piqua Memorial Hospital before her career with Ohio Bell from which she retired. She enjoyed her card club and loved to play euchre. She loved flowers and shopping. She loved her children and all her grandchildren.
A service to honor her life will begin at 10 am Friday, July 31, 2020 at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Spoon and Lincoln Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Piqua Church of the Nazarene, 400 S.
