Man accused of threatening victim with knife

PIQUA — A warrant was requested for a Troy man after he was allegedly involved in a burglary in Piqua on Thursday evening.

Michael E. Warling, 25, of Troy, was charged with first-degree felony aggravated burglary and first-degree misdemeanor aggravated menacing on Thursday.

According to Piqua Police Department reports, police responded to a report of a home burglary at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the 500 block of Miami Street in Piqua. Warling was accused of kicking in the door of the residence before pushing victim, who was known to him, onto the bed and threatened to kill her and her children.

Warling also reportedly had a knife during this incident, according to police reports, but the victim did not report any injuries.

Warling left the scene prior to officer arrival. Troy police also checked Warling’s address, and he was not located there.
