Here is a list of things the world needs:

Election changes coming to Ohio

Life waits for no one

Why is it so easy to always be living on the last half of everything? Whether it’s the last half of energy, the last half of time, the last half of resources; we so naturally plan and do all we possibly can.

Overthinking ‘the’ English language

What in the world were they thinking?

God’s plan is sovereign

I’m amazed as I see God at work. He’s been working through you, my friends, who have been praying for us and supporting us in countless ways over the past 10 months since Daddy Daniel was called home to heaven. This past week I was amazed anew; yes, I think that is the best-describing word I can find, for what I felt as I chatted with a friend I knew well during our little girl days when we lived in Ohio.

Training the next generation of nurses

Nurses work long hours to care for and keep patients safe. They dedicate their days and nights to providing high quality health care. And they have done all of this throughout the worst health crisis of our lifetimes, putting their own health at risk to provide care and comfort to their patients.

The Contentious States of America?

It might be time to consider changing the name of our country. Instead of the United States of America, we could be the Contentious States of America.

Reminiscing through song

My favorite spot in our cabin is in front of the heater on my fuzzy carpet; I find it relaxing to watch wildlife in the woods right outside those double windows. There’s a squirrel nest that especially holds my attention. It’s way up in a hickory tree. I watch as the wind howls and blows over that nest. It’s situated on branches, not all that thick, looking less than safe or stable.

Imagination can give you wings

There’s old-fashioned recipes that have been around for decades, then there’s the new concoctions that leave me amazed at places a good imagination can take a person. Then you have people like me who have a difficult time even following a recipe! When I open a cookbook and pick a recipe I have a hard time doing exactly what it says. If it’s cooking I’ll be thinking, oh, I could add a dash of liquid smoke, a pinch of onion powder, or some extra salt. When it comes to desserts I always found joy in what I called ‘Daniel-izing’ the recipes to make them match hubby’s taste buds.

Launching the technologies of the future

This week, I visited the NASA Glenn Research Center in Cleveland and met with NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, the Glenn leadership team and Ohio economic development leadersA person in a suitDescription automatically generated with medium confidence. We all agreed, there is no better place in the country to talk about new and emerging technologies than Ohio.
