TIPP CITY — A Tippecanoe High School student recently took home several medals, among other achievements, at the 2nd International Geography Championships, held in Burlington, Vermont and Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

TROY — The Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services is accepting entries for its Annual Art of Recovery exhibition of paintings, drawings, photography, poetry and music from the local mental health and recovery system in conjunction with the Tri-County Board’s Annual Meeting in October.

TROY — Peters Road will be closed between Swailes Road and and the intersection of Hilcrest Drive and Creekwood Drive today, July 12 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. due to trees obstructing the roadway.

Michael Gutmann, president of the board of directors for the John Johnston Farm & Indian Agency, provides opening remarks during Saturday’s re-dedication ceremony for the Johnston Farm farmhouse. The ceremony was held following more than two years of renovations, aimed at restoring the home to the way it actually appeared in the early 1800s. The remodel includes many of the original pieces of woodwork and mantels that were in the home during the period that the John Johnston family lived in the home.

TROY — The Fridays on Prouty Concert for 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 8 has been relocated to the Arbogast Performing Arts Center at 500 S. Dorset Road due to weather conditions.

TROY — The Troy Police Detective Section along with patrol officers executed a search warrant at 1313 E. Main St., Apartment D. at 7:20 a.m. on Friday following a three-month investigation into drug trafficking.
