TIPP CITY — Tippecanoe High School will hold its commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 28, at7 p.m. at Hobart Arena.

PIQUA – After a brief absence, the Women of Excellence and the Young Woman of Tomorrow Awards, a proud Miami County and YWCA Piqua tradition, returns.

TROY — To comply with EPA regulations regarding composting facilities, the Dye Mill Road Compost Facility will change its list of acceptable items, beginning June 1. Concrete, bricks, and blocks will no longer be accepted.

TROY — The Troy City Beautification Committee provides for two awards throughout the “growing months,” to recognize the efforts of property owners in Troy to make our community more beautiful.

PLEASANT HILL — Thomas Road will be closed between State Route 48 and Rench Road on Wednesday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for tree removal. Emergency traffic and buses will be able to pass through.

COVINGTON — Covington-Gettysburg Road will be closed from Wednesday, May 17, at 8 a.m. until Wednesday, May 24, at 3 p.m.

TROY — On Thursday, May 18, at 7 p.m., Roger James will share the story of restoring his 1934 Waco Cabin YKC, as part of the ongoing Aviation Lecture Series hosted by the WACO Air Museum located on South County Road 25A.

The 2023 Tippecanoe High School prom court has been announced. King and queen candidates includes Makenzie Chinn, left to right, Charlie Clausen, Amelia Campbell, and Lizzie Miller, Josh Dietz, Jeffery Brown, Sean Nichols, and Payton Bay. The prom’s red carpet, sponsored by Parents Who Care, will be held on Saturday, May 27, at 7:30 pm at the Antioch Shrine in Dayton.
