Thursday to Monday forecast

DAYTON — Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park will celebrate National Aviation Day on Saturday, Aug. 19, with a hot air balloon glow at sunset.

The Reserve Champion FFA Shop Project was Ty Roeth, of Troy. He is a member of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter and the son of Mark and Paula Roeth. His project was a medium wooden project of an American Flag.

Tyler Harsher, 9, a member of Society’s Blazing Broncos 4-h club, and the son of Abby Adkins and Matthew Harsher. Tyler received 1st the Easy Gaited Western Horsemanship 13 and under, Grand Champion Easy Gaited Western Horsemanship, 1st in Easy Gaited Western Pleasure 13 and under, and Reserve Grand Champion Easy Gaited Western Pleasure with his horse Annie.

The Champion FFA Horticulture Project was Ty Roeth of Troy. He is a member of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter and the son of Mark and Paula Roeth. He exhibited a pumpkin.

The Reserve Champion FFA Crop Project was Jon Hart, of Fletcher. He is a member of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter and the son of Rob and Karen Hart. He exhibited a single stalk of corn.

The winner of the FFA Shop and Crop Grand Champion Crop was exhibited by Rhylee Eichhorn with her six ears of corn at the 2023 Miami County Fair. She is the daughter of Rhyan and Alisha Eichhorn, of Troy, and a member of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter.

Happenings at the Miami County Fair on Sunday and a rainy Monday, on Aug. 13 and 14. Sunday was a day to honor veterans, the livestock scramble and shows. Monday was a rainy day for kid’s day, more livestock shows and harness races.
