TIPP CITY — For the Tipp City Chamber of Commerce and the Tipp City area, 2022 proved to be a year with incredible growth and resilience, said Executive Director Liz Sonnanstine in her report on the organization’s progress.

TROY — Travel and tourism has a definitive impact on Miami County. According to a report commissioned by the Miami County Visitors & Convention Bureau (MCVCB), visitors to Miami County generated $194.7 million in direct spending in 2021. The benefits of tourism span various industries, including transportation, recreation, retail, lodging and food and beverage, according to the report.

TROY — After more than a decade of planning and 18 months under construction, the Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services has moved into its new permanent home at 1280 N. County Road 25A, Troy.

SIDNEY — Overall, 2022 was a strong year for Ferguson Construction as they worked their way out of the pandemic slowdown. The unprecedented supply chain delays created unique challenges and opportunities for their team to overcome. SIDNEY — President Todd Ratermann reports, “2022 was another great year for our company. The economy has been strong for the construction industry the last several years. Building materials and lead times are slowly returning to what we consider ‘close to normal.’”

SIDNEY — Western Ohio Cut Stone completed its 27th year of operation in 2022 as a producer and reseller of architectural grade natural stone products. 2022 was a strong year for sales as the company achieved near record volumes.

ANNA — The Anna Engine Plant (AEP) opened in 1985 as a 200,000 square-foot facility with just 94 associates. Today, the 2.8 million square-foot facility is Honda’s largest engine plant in the world, with more than 60 production lines covering casting, machining, heat treating, and assembly operations, and is one of the industry’s most vertically integrated engine plants. The facility supplies engines and powertrain components for Honda and Acura products made in Ohio, Indiana, Alabama, Canada, Mexico, and other locations across the globe and has produced nearly 30 million engines over the past 35 years.
