MIAMI COUNTY — A Troy man was sentenced to community control on Monday in Miami County Common Pleas Court in connection with a stabbing that occurred in January.
PIQUA — Cynthia L. Curtis, 71, of Piqua, passed away at 4:35 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2020 at the Hospice Unit of Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born July 17, 1949 in Troy to the late Lewis L. and Martha J. (Henderson) Tallman. She married Carl W. “Butch” Curtis II March 1, 1969 in Piqua, and he survives.
TIPP CITY — GARY LEE RANK, age 74, of Tipp City, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at his residence. He was born in Piqua on April 6, 1946 to the late Frank and Della (Staudt) Rank.
WHEATFIELD, N.Y. — Lindsay Canali, 35, of Wheatfield, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2020, after a 15-month courageous battle with a rare form of cancer discovered directly following the birth of her daughter. Born in Piqua, OH, she was the loving daughter of Jimmy and Sandy (Smith) Caudill.
GREENVILLE — Merle Junior Besecker, age 89, a resident of Rest Haven in Greenville died Saturday, August 15, 2020, just 12 days after his beloved wife, Ethel. He was born June 23, 1931 in Darke Co to the late Russell Lee & Mae (Helman) Besecker; a U.S. National Guard veteran; retired from BF Goodrich where he worked for 37 years; a member of the Covington Church of the Brethren; the Troy Eagles; enjoyed farming, word search puzzles & going for rides.
TROY — JOAN CUNNINGHAM HEIDELBERG, age 87, of Troy, Ohio passed away on Friday, August 14, 2020 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit in Troy surrounded by love. She was born on October 27, 1932 in Grove Hill, Alabama to the late Francis Blair and Lillie Mae (Gay) Cunningham.
