VANDALIA — The Tippecanoe boys golf team wrapped up the Miami Valley League championship Tuesday at Cassel Hills, winning a battle of 8-0 teams in league play by defeating Troy 150-172.

BRANDT — Twin Valley South cut Bethel’s lead to only one point early in the third quarter, but the Bee defense forced a safety to give the team some breathing room and Bethel (1-3) pulled away for a 34-13 victory Friday night at home — the team’s first win of the season.
PIQUA — For a half, Friday’s matchup between undefeated Piqua and Stebbins was every bit as tight as the team’s matching records made it out to be.
TROY — Tippecanoe celebrated its first victory over Troy in 81 years.
SIDNEY — The Tippecanoe boys soccer team won its eighth straight Thursday, traveling to Sidney and posting a 4-0 shutout to improve to 8-0 on the season.
PIQUA — Piqua’s tennis team hit the .500 mark at 7-7 on the season, winning its second straight and third of its last four with a 5-0 victory over West Carrollton.
