Local legend Dan Penrod cards first hole-in-one at Echo Hills

PIQUA — Longtime basketball coach Dan Penrod recorded his first hole-in-one in 50 years of playing golf Tuesday at Echo Hills.

The local legend used a 7-iron for 120-yard shot on the uphill 17th hole.

Witnessing the ace were long-time friend Dave Selsor and Mark Sowry.

Pearson cards

37 at Echo

Ron Pearson was low gross with 37 in the Wednesday Industrial League at Echo Hills.

Chris Garrity was second with 38 and Jeff Jennings was third with 40.

Ryan Pearson was low net with 34.

Don Larger was second with 35.

Tying for third with 36 were Jeff Clark and Tim Summers.
