It didn’t take long for Gary Koenig to improve his golf game after retirement.
Koenig, recently retired after more than 20 years of service in the United States Army and more than 20 years of service in the United States Air Force, recorded his first hole-in-one recently at Echo Hills Golf Course.
He used a 9-iron on the 111-yard seventh hole.
Ironically, hole-in-one legend Bob Went (six hole-in-ones) witnessed the shot and get his name on a plaque as a witness now.
Also witnessing the ace were Dr. Terry Jones and Steve Chambers.
