Oct. 8

THEFT: Subject reported a leaf blower stolen from a job site.

THEFT: Officer dispatched to Heritage Event and Catering, 1714 Commerce Drive, on the report of a stolen jackhammer.

Oct. 9

THEFT: Karissa Atkins, 23, of Piqua, was arrested for theft at Shoe Sensation, 1264 E. Ash St., following the report of an employee stealing money.

DISORDERLY: David Boggs, 56, of Piqua, was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest following the report of a male subject in the woods yelling for help. An intoxicated male was found laying the on the ground after falling over.

WARRANT: Officers were dispatched to 1410 Madison Ave. on the report of a male subject with an active warrant possibly breaking into the complainant’s residence. Male was located and locked himself in the house after contact with the officer was made. Male, Robert Foster, 38, of Piqua, was apprehended and incarcerated in the Miami County Jail. Foster was charged with having weapons while under disability, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, violating a protection order, illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, and expired operator’s license.

THEFT: Local business, Underwood Photography, 215 W. Greene St., reported patio furniture stolen from front porch.

SUSPICIOUS: Officer responded to a call referencing a male subject pointing a gun at a residence. Male was located and found to have a toy gun. Male had known mental health issues and family members were located to watch over the male.

WELFARE CHECK: Police responded to the 400 block of Franklin Street after concerned landlord contacted authorities referencing his concern for a male tenant after not hearing from him for awhile. Male was found deceased in the residence.

MENACING: Officer responded to a call referencing a female subject making threats to a juvenile female. Adult female was located and warned for menacing and telecommunications harassment.

DISTURBANCE: Officer responded to a call at 121 Garnsey St. regarding a male and female having an argument. Male and female were located and advised to separate.

THEFT: A female subject reported items were stolen off her porch at 121 Garnsey St.

SUSPICIOUS: Complainant advised of a male taking pictures of children at the skate park, at 1501 South St.

DISTURBANCE: A male subject reported he was harassed by his neighbor and three other subjects at 1901 Covington Ave. The male believed his neighbor had a gun. Contact was made with the subjects who did not have a gun and it was found no threats were made.

SUSPICIOUS: Complainant advised there were four to five juveniles walking around the neighborhood, near 3216 Cherokee Drive, looking in mailboxes.

DOMESTIC: Officer observed a disturbance at West Water and North Wayne streets. Officer made contact with one half and found it to be a domestic violence situation.

SUSPICIOUS: Complainant advised an unknown male was commenting profanity on her Facebook page.

Oct. 10

DUI: Tisha Hecht, 41, of Piqua, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and OVI refusal with prior conviction following a traffic stop for speeding.

DISORDERLY: Report of a male subject outside yelling and throwing a chair at 626 Gordon St. The male was located inside his residence and was not causing an issue. The male denied yelling. The male stated he was going to stay inside his residence for the rest of the night.

THEFT: Officer dispatched to 626 Gordon St. regarding a theft complaint. Male said a female walked into his house and took a coat, which contained his wallet.

SUSPICIOUS: Officer dispatched to the 300 block of South Downing Street regarding a female was is suffering from a mental illness and believes a group of subjects has been following her for years. Tonight, someone pulled on her bedroom window frame. Female wanted officer to stand by while she collected her things to leave.

MENACING: Subject stated he overheard a male juvenile down the street, in the 500 block of Boone Street, state he was going to “set fire” to his house. Subject could not advise the name of the juvenile or where he lives. Subject was not sure what juvenile had said this but just wanted it documented.

TRESPASSING: Subject reported her adult daughter had broken into her house and taken items.

DRUG OFFENSE: Officer responded to a call referencing a female witnessing a drug deal. Witness had limited information pertaining to the drug deal.

Oct. 11

ASSAULT: Jeremiah Hocking, 20, of Troy, was arrested at Mote Park, 635 Gordon St., for resisting arrest, assault on peace officer, and harassment following a call referencing a male subject who has a stolen license plate, and had outstanding charges from Troy PD.

DOMESTIC: Daniel Strunk, 36, of Piqua, was arrested for domestic violence following a call referencing a subject physically assaulting his wife and cutting her hair. Subject left prior to police arrival, but was later arrested on a warrant.
