True Life services, in person or online

TROY – Join True Life Community Church for the October sermon series, “The Masquerade.” Join us as we embrace the clarity of Christ in our lives.

A 24 Hour Prayer Vigil is scheduled at the TLC campus for Oct. 24 to 25, from 11 a.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday.

The community is always welcome; TLC will open its doors this Sunday with its worship service starting at 10 a.m. Masks are now mandatory in Ohio and must be worn indoors. You can also live stream this service on Facebook.

First Lutheran services

TROY — First Lutheran Church of Troy is back to public worship and invites the community to weekly worship services on Sundays at 10 a.m.

AA-Open Group will be held at 6 a.m. on Mondays, and AA- Men’s Group will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

Free lunch program offered

PIQUA — God’s Table is a free of charge lunch provided to the public on the third Saturday of each month at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 325 W. Ash St. in Piqua. Due to the Coronavirus, bagged lunches will be served in the parking lot of the church starting at 11:30 a.m. This month’s lunch, which will be distributed on Saturday Oct. 17, consists of a walking taco, apple and a dessert. All are welcome.

Oktoberfest deadline approaches

PIQUA — The deadline to order barbecue chicken or cabbage roll dinners and fair waffles for pickup at St. Boniface Parish’s Drive-Thru Oktoberfest on Oct. 17 and 18 is Tuesday, Oct. 6.

To place an order, print a dinner/fair waffle order form from the church’s website,, or get one at the parish office, 310 S. Downing. Orders can also be placed online at Free delivery is being offered to Piqua residents.

Pickup times are Saturday, 4:30-7:30 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 3 p.m. at the parish grounds, 218 S. Downing St. Also available are $5 cakes and $10 pies until sold out. Salad luncheon planned

COVINGTON — The Covington Christian Church Women’s Fellowship salad luncheon drive through will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at 115 N. Pearl St. Covington.

Enter the drive through in the alley off of Pearl Street next to Covington Christian Church and organizers will deliver two containers full of the more popular salads, including their signature hot chicken salad and desserts to your car for a donation. All meals will be pre-packaged and ready for pick up. No special requests will be taken at this time and supplies will be limited.

Pre-order and leave your donation during office hours from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday-Thursday.

Trunk or Treat planned

TIPP CITY — Good Shepherd Church of the Brethren, 7240 Peters Road, will host a Trunk or Treat event on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 2-4 p.m. in the church parking lot.

Event is free and open to the public. Church members will be wearing masks for COVID-19 protection of all and will be social distancing.
