Troy Police Department reports

Information filed by the Troy Police Department:

Aug. 27

THEFT: John Brewster Jr., 60, was charged with two counts of theft from Walmart.

Aug. 28

MENACING: Jeremiah Hocking, 19, of Troy, was charged with menacing. He later was charged with a fourth-degree felony receiving stolen property in the area of Archer Drive.

Aug. 30

CAR GONE: A Troy resident’s car was reported stolen from Dayton.

BREAKING AND ENTERING: Matthew Akers, 28, of West Milton, was charged with fifth-degree felony breaking and entering, failure to verify the address as a sex offender, and inducing panic in the area of Glenwood Drive.

Aug. 31

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: An officer responded to a residence in the 700 block of N. Market for a broken window.

POSSESSION: Rose Hicks, 34, of Piqua, was charged with possession of drugs in the area of West Market and Garfield Avenue.

Sept. 1

PARK ISSUE: Richard Ausborn, 57, of Troy, was charged with having an alcoholic beverage in Treasure Island Park and violating park hours around 3:20 a.m.

NEIGHBOR ISSUE: An officer responded to the 1300 block of Waterbury Place for a dispute regarding dogs running onto the neighbor’s property. The dog owner claimed the reporting party threatened him with a rake. The dog owner was warned for animals at large and both were advised to stay away from one another.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: A resident reported sugar in the gas tank of their vehicle in the 400 block of West Ross Street.

THEFT: Tylenol and money were reported stolen from a residence in the 800 block of South Crawford.

Sept. 2

BURGLARY: Adrian Gomez, 28, of Grand Rapids, Mich. was charged with first-degree felony aggravated burglary.
