Rec basketball offered

TIPP CITY — Register now for Tipp Monroe Community Services’ Recreational Basketball for grades third through 12th. The cost is $75 for the first child and $70 for additional children. The fee for non-residents is $90 for all children. Late registration is Nov. 28 through Dec. 4 and is $85 per resident for first child and $80 for additional children and a $100 non-resident fee for all children. The season runs from Jan. 4 through March 14.

All participants must follow COVID-19 guidelines. Players must wear masks or face shields and practice social distancing except when on the court. Coaches must wear masks or face shields at all times. There will be no player evaluations.

September FFA member of month named

CASSTOWN — The September 2020 Miami East-MVCTC FFA Member of the Month is Dottie Everett. She is a sophomore and second year member of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter. Her parents are Tom and Christa Everett of Fletcher.

Everett had a successful 2020 Miami County Fair where she exhibited the Reserve Champion Horticulture entry with her green beans. Additionally, she competed in the State FFA Meats Evaluation Career Development Event. Dottie’s Supervised Agricultural Experience program is vegetable production. She operates Dot’s Fresh Produce, a roadside produce stand and markets through social media.
