TIPP CITY — The Tippecanoe girls soccer team kept Piqua under fire all night long, winning its third straight to start the season with a 7-0 Miami Valley League Miami Division victory over Piqua.
Karley Johns made 21 saves for the Indians (0-3, 0-3 MVL Miami) as the Red Devils outshot them 21-2.
Both teams are back in action Wednesday, with Tippecanoe (4-0, 4-0 MVL Miami) traveling to West Carrollton and Piqua hosting Xenia.

SIDNEY — Lehman’s girls soccer team is already hitting its stride early in the season.
Monday night, the Cavaliers improved to 4-0, defeating Troy Christian 6-0 at home and handing the Eagles their third straight loss to begin the season.
Lindsey Magoteaux had a pair of goals, while Ella Black, Molly Greene and Eva and Noelle Dexter each added one for the Cavs, with Heidi Toner posting the shutout in goal.
Lehman hosts Coldwater Thursday, while Troy Christian (0-3) will look to break into the win column at Springfield Shawnee Thursday.

BRANDT — The Bethel boys soccer team dropped its first match of the season Monday night, falling to Kenton Ridge 2-0.
“I thought we played the best half of soccer we have played all year in the first half. In the second half, Kenton Ridge came out in another gear,” Bethel coach Bob Hamlin said. “Though it was a 2-0 defeat, goalkeeper Nolan Flomerfelt had a great game with 11 saves.”
Bethel (2-1-1) hosts Miami East Thursday.
