Troy girls golf tops Piqua: Monday golf/tennis roundup

TROY — The Troy girls golf team won its third straight, knocking off Piqua for the second time, 202-227 Monday at Miami Shores.

Paige Stuchell was medalist with a 42 for Troy (3-4), Ashley Kloeker shot 52, Delaney Davis shot 53 and Elise Hempker shot 55.

For Piqua (1-6), Kenzi Anderson shot 50, Haley Krogman shot 51, Brooklynne Wright shot 61 and Ivy Lee shot 65.

GREENVILLE — Bethel picked up a Cross County Conference win over Franklin Monroe at Turtle Creek, led by medalist Kenna Gray’s 49.

Kaylee Brookhart added a 53 for the Bees, Skylar Johnson shot 57 and Kerigan Calhoun and Grace Bennett both shot 58.

At second singles, Josie Romick won 2-6, 7-5, 6-2. At third singles, Elizabeth Neimi won 6-2, 6-0. At first doubles, Esha Patel and Cady Rhea won 6-4, 6-1. At second doubles, Madailein Logan and Taima Rajab won 7-5, 6-1.

PIQUA — Piqua evened its record at 2-2, defeating Xenia 4-1 at home.

At first singles, Arabella Partee won by default. At second singles, Izzy King won 6-4, 6-1. At first doubles, Cassie Arnett and Paige Stumpff won 7-5, 6-3. At second doubles, Grace and Hannah Pleasant won 6-4, 6-3.

At third singles, Madelynn Fisher lost 6-4, 6-3.

At third singles, Ellie Coate defeated Mary Lins 6-1, 6-0. At second doubles, Madison Silveira and Paiges Barnes defeated Lilly Williams and Carriane Rindler 6-0, 6-4.

Macie Verdier and Taylor Reineke picked up the Cavaliers’ (1-3) win at first doubles, defeating Amelia and Maggie Black 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-3).

For the Vikings, Sam Zapadka shot 44, Noah King shot 48, Colin Jennings shot 54 and Eric LeMaster shot 56.
