Bulldog boys golf sweeps tri vs. Buccs, Vikings: Wednesday sports roundup

WEST MILTON — The Milton-Union boys golf team swept a non-league Miami County tri-match Wednesday at Homestead Golf Course, shooting 168 to Covington’s 188 and Miami East’s 203.

Max Grafflin led the Bulldogs with a 41, Sam Case and Grady Vechazone both shot 42 and Nathan Thompson shot 43.

Grant Humphrey was medalist on the day with a 37 for Covington, Garret Fraley added a 48, Connor Humphrey shot 51 and Job Morgan shot 52.

For Miami East, Colin Jennings shot 45, Sam Zapadka shot 48, Noah King shot 52 and Eric LeMaster shot 58.

SIDNEY — Piqua’s boys golf team fell to Miami Valley League crossover foe Sidney Wednesday, dropping a match 192-202 at Shelby Oaks.

Decker Jackson led the Indians (0-2) with a 45, Evan Hensler shot 46, Sabastian Karabinis shot 52, Richard Price shot 59 and Drew Hinkle shot 60.

Piqua hosts Tippecanoe Monday.

VANDALIA — The Tippecanoe girls golf team remained undefeated Wednesday, defeating Piqua 210-247 at Cassel Hills.

Sydney Lange was medalist with a 47 for the Red Devils (3-0), Marissa Miller shot 49, Izzy Brightwell shot 55, Katelyn Smith shot 59, Annaleah Lambert shot 64 and Reagan Hall shot 79.

For the Indians (0-5), Kenzi Anderson shot 52, Haley Krogman shot 63, Brooklynne Wright shot 64, Siara Grinstead shot 68, Ivy Lee shot 70 and Marin Funderburg shot 80.
