Familiar name atop Echo Hills Club standings

PIQUA — Brian Robbins is no stranger to success at Echo Hills Golf Course.

Sunday, Robbins closed out his 10th career Echo Hills Club Championship, winning the championship flight by five strokes by shooting a steady 72-71—143.

Robbins trailed Justin Weber by three strokes after Weber shot an opening-round 69 on Saturday. But Weber finished with a 79 on Sunday and finished second with a total of 148. Brian Deal was third with 71-80—151.

Ray Stuchell shot 78-81—159, Ben Gover shot 77-86—163, Jeff Jennings shot 85-82—167 and Doug Harter shot 80-90—170.

In the seniors flight, Marty Jackson won with 73-76—149, Mike Emerick shot 74-77—151 and Don Polhamus shot 77-87—164.

In the second flight, Creg Rietz won with 83-88—171, Rob Kiser shot 104-92—196 and Gary Koenig shot 97-101—198.
