Hauenstein Ct. fire displaces three

TROY — Three family members were displaced following a Saturday morning house fire.

Troy firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire at 8 Hauenstein Ct. at 9:22 a.m.

Troy Fire Department Platoon Commander Tim Haywood said that firefighters arrived to find flames coming from the second floor windows. Mutual aide was requested from Tipp City Fire Department.

Haywood credits his men for “a quick knockdown” of the flames, preventing the fire from spreading.

The fire was contained mainly to the second floor of the home but Haywood said there is smoke and water damage throughout the structure.

Fire investigators are looking in to the cause of the blaze but Haywood noted that nothing seems suspicious.

Firefighters cleared the scene around 11:30 a.m. There were no injuries.
