Buggy obtained by museum
PLEASANT HILL — The Pleasant Hill History Center will be obtaining a “Beery Short-Turn Runabout” at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 31 at the history center, 8 E. Monument St., Pleasant Hill.
The Beery Runabout is a buggy designed by Jesse Beery in the early 1900’s and was manufactured by The Jesse Beery Co. Pleasant Hill, Ohio. The main advantage of this buggy is that it could not be upset. The buggy could not turn short enough to cause it to overturn because of the gears for the wheels. The Beery Runabout was manufactured by the Beery Company in Pleasant Hill.
