TROY – The Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Commission will have an election of supervisors of the Miami Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to be held in accordance with Chapter 940 of the Ohio Revised Code. Individuals who own or occupy land within the Miami Soil and Water Conservation District and are 18 years of age or older may vote for a supervisor.
There are three ways an eligible voter can cast a ballot:
• At the SWCD office from Sept. 3-16 during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday)
• 2. At the SWCD Annual Meeting, which will take place at the Duke Lundgard Building/Miami County Fairgrounds from 5:30-7 p.m. Sept. 3
• Voting absentee from Aug. 4 to Sept. 3, by requesting the ballot application and election ballot from the SWCD office at 1330 N. County Road 25-A, Suite C., Troy, OH 45373, by calling (937) 335-7645, or email email@example.com. Absentee ballots must be received by the SWCD office by 4 p.m. Sept. 3.
Two supervisors will be elected to a three-year term commencing Jan. 1, 2021 and ending Dec. 31, 2023.
Nominees are Brian Francis, Flora B. Rectenwald and Jeffery S. Shoup.
