Road closure planned

MIAMI COUNTY — Piqua-Lockington Road will be closed Thursday, July 30, at from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The location of the closure at the address of 8418 Piqua-Lockington Road. The purpose of the closure will be for a tree removal.

Disney trivia offered

TROY — Join Troy-Miami County Public Library for a game of online trivia at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6.

Book discussion planned

WEST MILTON — Join Kim from the Milton-Union Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18 for a Pop-Up Book Discussion.

Join staff on the front lawn of the library. Bring your own drink and lawn chair and join participants for a lively discussion over “The Fifteen Wonders of Daniel Green,” by Erica Boyce. Participants will be practicing social distancing, so they will sit at least 6 feet apart. Masks are not required, but are recommended. The event is weather dependent. Books will be provided by the statewide delivery system through the library, or electronically through The Ohio Digital Library and Hoopla.

Preschool has openings

WEST MILTON — The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Preschool has several open spots for 3 year olds on Tuesday and Thursday mornings during the school year from 9:30-11:45 a.m. and one open spot for 4-5 year olds on Monday and Wednesday. The preschool is located at 1209 S. Miami St., West Milton.

Lori Gellatly is the new director, and the preschool offers a Christian-based program that will start in September.
