Troy Police Department reports

Information filed by the Troy Police Department:

July 16

MENACING: Anthony McFarland, 45, of Huber Heights, was charged with aggravated menacing at the Eastside Mini Mart.

DISORDERLY: Kevin Wolfe, 44, of Fletcher, was charged with disorderly conduct at Treasure Island Park.

DISORDERLY: James Reineke, 44, of Troy, was charged with disorderly conduct and possession of controlled substances.

July 17

ASSAULT: Amanda Cantrell, 29, of Troy, was charged with assault.

INTOXICATED IN PUBLIC: Blake Cyphers, 18, of Troy, was charged with offenses involving underage persons consuming beer or liquor. Cyphers was reported intoxicated outside the apartment complex in the Traditions Apartments on Stanfield.

THEFT: Michel Mertz, 44, of Troy, was charged with theft.

July 18

GUN GONE: A firearm was reported stolen from the 500 block of Lake Street.

METH: Angel Kooken, 37, of Troy, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug abuse instruments in the area of 200 block of Staunton Road. It was reported Kooken was asleep in her vehicle prior to arrest.

July 19

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Bryan Carver, 29, at-large, was charged with criminal damaging in the 1000 block of Jeep Street.

INDUCING PANIC: Dustin Jeffries, 29, of Troy, was charged with inducing panic in the 200 block of W. Market Street. Medics treated Jeffries with Narcan and transported him to Troy Hospital.

July 21

THEFT: Skyla Hughes, 18, of St. Paris, was charged with theft.

BREAKING AN ENTERING: Dustin Bennett,39, of Troy, was charged with fifth-degree felony breaking and entering.

BIKE GONE: A bicycle was reported stolen from the 600 block of Dorset.

THEFT: Bryan Bailey, 53, and Gary Edmond, 61, both of Dayton, were charged with theft from Walmart.

DISORDERLY: Andrew Wise, 35, of Troy, was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct at the Main Street Wendy’s.

Officers were dispatched on a report of a male walking in the street apparently on drugs. Officers had previously dealt with Wise several times prior that evening.

July 22

PHONE SCAM: A Troy resident reported being scammed over the phone.

WHIPPETS WHILE DRIVING: A report was made of two males doing “whippets” while driving. N20 cartridges and whipped cream canister were seized. Jason Hanselman, 31, of Troy, was charged with possession of drugs and driving under suspension for failure to pay fine and or child support.

July 23

THEFT: A report of theft from One Stop Drive Thru was filed. Suspects observed on video. Case pending.

ANIMAL ABUSE: Cory Hogan, 26, and Sierra Hogan, 19, both of Springfield, were charged with cruelty to companion animals. The Hogans were evicted from an apartment in the 400 block of Stonyridge and left a dog inside the home alone without food or water for two days. The officer could hear the dog whimpering and barking from inside the apartment. The dog was sent to the animal shelter.
