Information filed by the Miami County Sheriff’s Office:

July 15

AC GONE: A resident in the 9000 block of West State Route 571, Union Twp. report an air conditioner was removed from the house.

July 16

A deputy conducted a traffic stop on the listed vehicle for a traffic violation on Troy-Sidney Road and Knollwood. After investigation the driver, Michael Leger, 27, of Piqua, was cited for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, driving under suspension and marked lanes.

July 17

TRESPASSING: While conducting a routine traffic patrol in the area of the Stillwater Community Church, I observed three individuals that were exiting the river. Upon further investigation. the subjects were found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. All items were seized and booked into the Miami County room. The individuals were released form the scene and warned for trespassing.

July 19

DISTURBANCE: A deputy was dispatched to the northbound rest area at the 81 mile mark on a disorderly female on a Greyhound bus. The female apologized to the bus driver for her actions and was allowed back on the bus. No other issues.

ASSAULT: Deputies responded to a disturbance at The Vault. One male was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct.

July 20

OVI: A deputy was dispatched to the listed address in reference to a hit/skip accident. In further investigation, the suspect was found at the Pleasant Hill Dollar General and was arrested for OVI and hit/skip.

July 21

CIVIL COMPLAINT: The reporting party said he hired a contractor to replace his gutters in the 9000 block of Pearson Road, Union Twp. The owner paid $1200 for the labor, $1758 for supplies and the work was never completed. The supplies were picked up and allegedly used at another job the man worked on. This all took place in February of this year but homeowner was giving the subject a chance to complete the work.

POSSESSION: Michael Cyphers, 21, of Dayton, was charged with possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

July 22

SUSPICIOUS: Dispatch advised a female was sitting on the side of the road on E. State Route 36 in Brown Township. A black Ford F-150 had picked up the female and drove west bound on E. State Route 36. An employee at the drive-through called in and advised the black Ford F-150 had came through the drive through, before picking up the female on the side of the road. A deputy was able to view the camera footage of the black Ford F-150 coming through the drive through and observed a male driver in his 50’s or 60’s.

Male driver had tattoos on his left arm, red baseball hat, black or grey t-shirt on. The deputy was able to confirm there was no female in the passenger seat.

Deputies checked the surrounding area for the Ford or female and neither were located.

OVI: Danielle Reed,27, of West Milton, was cited for OVI and operation without being in reasonable control in the 3000 block of Calumet Road.
