June 25

ASSIST RESIDENT: A deputy was dispatched to a domestic dispute in progress in the 1600 block of West State Route 571, Monroe Twp. Upon further investigation, it was found that an elderly female with Alzheimer’s Disease was trying to walk into traffic and her husband was attempting to restrain her. A family member responded to the scene to help with the subject’s care.

June 27

SHOTS FIRED: A deputy responded to the 5700 block of Walnut Grove Road, Troy, for a shots fired call. It was found a subject at the residence shot two rounds into the air to scare someone who was not wanted on the property. The complainant declined to prosecute therefore this case was closed without charges being filed.

BURGLARY: A report of a burglary was reported in the area of 11 E. Main St., Fletcher. Case pending.

WELFARE CHECK: A deputy was dispatched to the 6000 block of Peters Road, Monroe Twp. on a welfare check of a adult female living in a motor home on her property. After further investigation it was found that the home was unable to be lived in due to unsanitary conditions.

Adult protective services, the health department, and the animal shelter will be contacted in regards to this case. Case

pending further investigation.

TRESPASSING: A resident in the 8000 block of Penny Road, Newton Twp. called 911 and reported there was someone shooting a gun by the river on his property and requested it to be checked out. A deputy made contact with the two listed individuals at the Penny Road bridge. Both were walking from the river to their vehicle that was parked along Penny Road. The two were later identified as Jeramiah Magnuson and Jason Nevels. The deputy observed a holstered pistol on the side of Nevels as they were carrying fishing gear. Nevels advised the deputy that he did shoot the gun at a can on an embankment while they were fishing. They were both advised the owner did not want anyone shooting guns on his property and warned against any further actions. Both of the involved were cooperative during the incident and left the scene after gathering all of their gear.

June 28

DRUGS FOUND: A deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 10000 block of West State Route 571, Laura for a traffic violation. In further investigation, marijuana paraphernalia and hashish oil was found inside the vehicle. Charges will be filed once lab results return.

BURGLARY: A resident in the 2700 block of Troy-Sidney Road reported items missing from the home after waking up. A suspect was identified. Case pending.

ACCIDENT: A deputy was dispatched to the 8500 block of State Route 721, Newton Twp. in reference to an accident involving a Chevy Silverado and John Deere corn planter in tow. The accident report is pending.
