Chip Gade of the Miami County Park District tends to boiling tree sap at Maple Ridge Rese3rve on Tuesday morning. Park district employees and volunteers are tapping 65 trees this year and have boiled some 200 gallons of sap, producing around 11 gallons of maple syrup.
